This course provides basic and practical instruction in understanding and negotiating in industry. Participants gain familiarity with key contractual terms and develop professional negotiation skills through exposure to real-life agreements. The course prepares learners to recognize potential contractual risks and advocate effectively for all parties involved in the contracting process. READ with the RCMP pairs literacy with community connection, giving kids positive, friendly interactions with local officers outside of an enforcement setting. Early literacy and those kinds of relationships matter more than people realize when it comes to keeping youth on a good path later in life. It’s one of the most meaningful things we do.

Join us for a one-day, in-person workshop designed to support you through the exciting, challenging, and sometimes overwhelming stage of parenting teens. Grounded in the insights from Psychology Canada’s Straight Talk About Teens, this session will help you better understand and connect with the growing adolescent in your life. What we’ll explore together: The teen brain – why they think and feel the way they do What really matters to teens How to keep a positive, connected relationship Effective ways to communicate (even during tough moments) Managing risky behaviors Fair and respectful discipline that works Whether you’re already parenting or caring for a teen or preparing for the years ahead, you’ll leave with practical tools, new perspectives, and maybe even a sense of relief—you’re not in this alone.
