Jordan Martinook Brings Stanley Cup to Leduc

Jordan Martinook, Leduc-raised NHL forward of the Carolina Hurricanes, is bringing the Stanley Cup to the Leduc Recreation Centre for a special community celebration. Residents and hockey fans are invited to stop by the LRC Fieldhouse to see and take photos with the Stanley Cup and celebrate Martinook’s achievement with the community that helped shape his hockey career. What to expect: This is a free, drop-in event. People may begin queueing at 9 a.m. Lines are expected, attendees should be prepared for a wait. To help as many people as possible see the Cup, attendees are asked to keep photos quick. Please bring your own camera or phone. Someone will be available to help take photos using your own devices. The Stanley Cup may not be lifted or moved. Media may be on site taking photos and video. Parking Parking is available at the LRC. Attendees should use the East entrance and follow event signage to the Fieldhouse. Important Reminder City staff and media may be taking photos and video during the event. A photography notice will be posted at the entrance to the Fieldhouse. FAQ’s Can I touch the Stanley Cup? You may touch the Cup, but it cannot be lifted or moved. Will Jordan Martinook be available for autographs? Jordan will be mingling during the event, but there will not be a formal meet-and-greet autograph station. What happens if I am still in line at 11:30 a.m.? Photo opportunities may be limited by time and event demand. Photos with the Stanley Cup after 11:30 a.m. are not guaranteed.
